These 5 anti-aging homemade skincare for GLOWING SKIN has given me acne prone skin. I didn’t get acne when my hormones were changing in teenage, while everyone’s skin was breaking out. I always thought this must be my genes, and I thanked God for that. But I never knew there was some work behind it by my mother. Here are 5 anti-aging homemade skin care that I used since my childhood that gave me good skin through out my life.
Ubtan: The most famous Indian skin care, that we Indian’s use since our childhoods is Ubtan. Two spoons of split chick pea floor (Besan), one spoon of milk cream (Malai), two spoons of milk, one spoon of coconut oil, and just a pink of turmeric powder. Mixt well until it turns into a thick paste that you can apply on your face like a mask. Keep it until it get 70% dry, then gently rub it off your face. Wash it with room temperature water and tap dry with water. Use it once or twice a week for healthy glowing skin.

Aloe Vera: Just Aloe Vera and nothing else. Yes! that’s how powerful Aloe Vera is. Cut an Aloe Vera stem from an Aloe Vera plant, cut off some part of that stem and split it into two parts from the middle. Now the gel part can be used directly on your face. You can use it every day. I had a lot of tan and after using it continuously for 30 days, I started to see the visible difference. If you started to see lines on your forehead, Aloe Vera can help slow down the wrinkling process drastically.
Thanks to my mother, we always have an Aloe Vera plant at home. She sometimes used to mix Aloe Vera in wheat floor as well when she used to make Daal-Bati for us. Aloe Vera juice can also be an effective anti aging drink. Check out the recipe here.

Milk cream: Mix the milk cream (Malai) with honey and lemon, slightly massage it on your skin for 5 minutes and then keep it for next 10 minutes before washing t with room temperature water. Milk cream works wonders on the skin. It’s a natural moisturiser, it hydrates and soften the skin. It has lectic acid which works as a gentle exfoliant, removes dead skin cells and helps in smoother complexion.
Don’t mistake it for fair completion, I am talking about smoothening whatever complexion that you have and makes it even more cleaner. Lemon helps removing tan and gives you more uniform complexion. Honey deeply hydrates and moisturise the skin. Combination for these three twice a week can improve your skin pretty quickly and can give you hydrating, clean and glowing skin.
Multani Mitti: Since my childhood I am using multani mitti just because my mother said so, no questions asked. She simply said, it improves your skin. Well, as an adult here is my research about multani mitti. It naturally treats acne, it gently exfoliates, reduces wrinkles, calms the skin, lightens the blemishes, it is used for spot treatment to dry up pimples and reduces redness. Thanks to google for confirming that my mother was a genius. If you have dry skin then mix honey, coconut oil or milk cream with it to soften and moisturise it. Otherwise, simple paste of multani mitti with water worked wonders for me. If you need detailed information on benefits of multani mitti, Read here.
Tomato Face Pack: Tomato removes tan naturally, mix honey and curd for moisture but the curd is optional. I prefer to use curd because it’s anti inflammatory and cooling for skin. It helps for skin elasticity as well. Make the tomato puree in the mixer, mix it with one table spoon of honey and curd and gently massage it on the face for 2-3 minutes and then keep it for 10 minutes before washing with room temperature water. Apply this twice a week.
As a kid, I was into sports and unfortunately no one told me that I was supposed to wear sun screen, so yes my skin was extremely tanned but it was still clean and acne free. These masks are gentle on your skin and works only when you regularly apply them and use skin protection when you go out. Now when I know this, I am able to get the tan free, pimple free and glowing skin.
